NATIONAL SUMMARY
Cooler air will continue to settle southward over theSouthern states today. Assisting with the change to lowertemperatures will be a swath of clouds and areas of rain.
This moisture is forecast to extend from much of Texas tothe northern Gulf coast and much of the southern AtlanticSeaboard. Warmth is expected to hold on over much of theFlorida Peninsula. Most areas from New England to the OhioValley, lower Great Lakes and the central Plains will havedry weather and sunshine. However, a blast of arctic airwill arrive over the northern Plains. Some snow is forecastto accompany the frigid air. Much of the West will be freeof precipitation.
