VALLETTA, Malta (AP) — An open-top double-decker tourist bus slammed into a low-hanging tree branch in Malta on Monday, killing two people and injuring 50 others, including a dozen children. The accident happened in Zurrieq, a popular tourist destination just outside the capital that is famous for its ruins and "blue grotto." Police said the two passengers who died were a 37-year-old Spanish woman and a 62-year-old Belgian man. They and most of the people injured were sitting on the top deck when the bus hit the branch. FLINT, Mich. (AP) — An agreement has been reached to get more services to Flint children who were exposed to lead in drinking water. Under the deal, the state of Michigan will provide $4.1 million, if the Legislature approves the money. Parents will be encouraged to get kids signed up on a registry, which will lead to tests and other screenings to help determine any special education needs. LEWISTON, Idaho (AP) — Some Idaho residents want Horizon Air to keep its flight service to Seattle and Boise at Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport. ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York state is making a $6 million investment in what is being called the nation's largest commitment to computer science education. The money is part of a five-year, $30 million program to boost computer science education at all levels of public schooling. It was included in a state budget deal approved by lawmakers last month.
