DETROIT (AP) — Tesla Inc.'s net loss widened to $336 million in the second quarter as it opened new stores and prepared for the launch of its new lower-cost Model 3 sedan. Revenue more than doubled to $2.8 billion, thanks to a big increase in Tesla's energy generation and storage business.

The judges said that a group of states can defend the legality of government "cost-sharing" subsidies for copays and deductibles under the Affordable Care Act if the Trump administration decides to stop paying the money. The court's decision is "a check on the ability of the president to sabotage the Affordable Care Act in one very important way," said Tim Jost, professor emeritus at Washington and Lee University School of Law in Virginia, a supporter of the ACA who has followed the issue closely. NEW YORK (AP) — Movie theater stocks took a beating Wednesday after AMC Entertainment previewed a grim earnings report. AMC shares lost nearly a quarter of their value a day after the company's announcement late Tuesday that its U.S. box office receipts tumbled 4.4 percent in the second quarter. AMC, the world's largest movie theater chain, said it planned to slash costs by cutting operating hours and staff levels while offering new pricing plans.
