Allen's Stratolaunch, a massive aircraft designed to launch rockets into space from high altitude, has been rolled out of its hangar for the first time in preparation for testing. NEW YORK (AP) — Some Kmart stores were targeted by hackers, leading to unauthorized activity on some of its customers' credit cards, the retailer's parent company said. Sears Holdings Corp. said in a blog post late Wednesday that Kmart's store payment systems were recently infected with virus-like computer code undetectable by current anti-virus systems.

Co-branded credit cards are those for which a major retail or travel company teams up with a bank to issue the cards, typically aimed at increasing customer loyalty. The American Express Platinum Card, which gives points plus airport lounge access and other benefits, saw its first major competitor from Chase, when the bank created the Chase Sapphire Reserve Card, which became so popular the bank initially ran out of the metal it was using to make it. (AP) — Seven people are facing prison sentences after they were accused of using stolen credit card numbers and counterfeit gift cards to buy more than $1 million in cigarettes in North Carolina, federal prosecutors said. Payroll processor ADP said private businesses added 253,000 jobs last month, more than economists expected and an acceleration from April. A separate report showed that the number of workers filing for unemployment claims rose last week, which could be an indication that layoffs are on the rise.
