DEARBORN, Michigan (AP) — The United Auto Workers union is making a last-ditch push for the union's proposed contract with Ford, which is heading for defeat in votes at Ford's plants. The agreement raises wages for all of Ford's 53,000 hourly workers and guarantees $9 billion in investments in U.S. plants. It would end a hated two-tier wage system at Ford's plants by bringing new workers up to the wages of longtime workers over eight years. CAIRO (AP) — The Islamic State group has released a photo of the bomb it says was used to bring down a Russian passenger plane in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula last month, killing all 224 people on board. The picture was published in the latest issue of the extremist group's English-language magazine, with the caption "EXCLUSIVE - Image of the IED used to bring down the Russian airliner." Suspicions that a bomb caused the crash have led to flight cancellations to and from Egypt and dealt a major blow to its vital tourism industry.

The recall comes after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began investigating the trucks in March. The agency received a complaint in January from a fire department that a driver had trouble steering a truck and never felt in control.

Canadian Pacific expects to deliver a premium approaching 60 percent to Norfolk Southern shareholders with its cash-and-stock offer to combine the two North American railroad operators.
