(AP) — A sheriff's deputy in a helicopter shot at a suspected home invasion robber who led authorities on a 100-mph chase Friday, and the suspect died on a Southern California freeway, authorities said. The gray Chevrolet Tahoe reached speeds of 100 mph as it raced along streets and traveled southbound in the northbound lanes of Interstate 215 into San Bernardino, sideswiping a car, authorities said. NEW BALTIMORE, Mich. (AP) — A 43-year-old woman is dead after a boat crashed into a drifting boat in Lake St. Clair in Macomb County. The Macomb County sheriff's office says a 27-foot-long Sea Ray was drifting in Anchor Bay when it was struck by another boat Friday night. The body of Tamara Urick of Chesterfield Township was recovered early Saturday. Another person was in serious condition at a hospital. The crash is under investigation.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $2.04, down 7 cents from last week. Analysts say pump prices will likely continue to drop in New Jersey in the coming weeks, noting that crude oil prices continue to fall.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Federal prosecutors say three U.S. Postal Service carriers stole valuables — including cash and gift cards — from mail they were delivering. Prosecutors say 27-year-old Anisha Gallin, a New Orleans mail carrier, was charged with four counts of mail theft and accused of stealing a check worth $200 in July.

Collins was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer six-and-a-half years ago, but chose not to disclose her illness to most, excluding her three daughters.
