The Trump administration announced Tuesday it was ending the program known as DACA. The program allows 800,000 undocumented young immigrants to work in the US legally. Ending DACA could cost about 700,000 DACA recipients their jobs and employers $6.3 billion in employee turnover costs. Disney CEO Bob Iger released a statement on Tuesday condemning the Trump administration's decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA. 

"The Dreamers impacted by this cruel and misguided decision make significant contributions to our economy and our country," Iger said in a statement.

“I urge Congress to take immediate bipartisan action to pass legislation that will protect these innocent people,” Iger added.

Stocks tumbled on Tuesday, rattled by the weekend's saber rattling by North Korea and ongoing worries about the upcoming debt ceiling deadline.

Republicans are planning to attach a provision to raise the debt ceiling to their initial Hurricane Harvey relief package, a move that could limit resistance to the effort to increase caps on government borrowing.
