SteelBrick's quote-automating service is growing fast and could make Salesforce a more robust sales platform.

(Reuters) - At least one person was killed when shots were fired inside a mall in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Thursday, local media reported.

WBTV reported that a gunman had been shot and killed, citing a source. Other media reported that at least one person was injured, citing paramedics.

One witness told television station WCNC that he heard multiple shots and then was swept up in a crush of people running away.

Brandon Stanton is at it again.

Stanton is the man behind "Humans Of New York," a popular photo project that puts Stanton and his camera on the streets of New York City and beyond. 

Earlier this year, Stanton took of Vidal Chastanet, a 13-year-old from Brownsville, Brooklyn, which has the highest crime rate in the city. The photo went viral, and it helped Stanton raise more than $1.4 million for Mott Hall Bridges Academy.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California's governor has pardoned Robert Downey Jr. for a 1996 drug conviction that sent the actor to prison.

Gov. Jerry Brown's office announced Thursday that Downey was among 91 people receiving pardons.

Downey was convicted of felony drug possession after he was arrested on a Los Angeles County highway and authorities found heroin, cocaine and a pistol in his vehicle.
