Armenia provides information about shelling of border villages by Azerbaijan to PACE committee
The Armenian Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) that participated in the PACE Monitoring Commission, provided its members with the latest information about the shelling of Armenian border villages by Azerbaijani armed forces
She said Sepkhanyan received a gunshot wound to his right shin on September 16, approximately at 00:15, when walking in the central part of the village, located in Noyemberyan community of Armenian Tavush province.
The day before, the Investigative Committee of Armenia opened a criminal case in connection with the wounding of the Armenian citizen by Azerbaijani troops, as well as in connection with the shots made by unknown persons from the Azerbaijani combat positions towards the Armenian settlements that threaten the lives of many people.
"Taking advantage of the latest political developments in Armenia, Azerbaijani authorities are trying to shift the blame for the possible failures in the Karabakh settlement process on the Armenian side. I repeatedly said and will not tire of repeating that when it comes to Karabakh issue all Armenians are more than united," Hovhannisyan wrote on her Facebook page.
Artsrun Hovhannisyan, a spokesman for the Armenian Defense Ministry, told Novosti-Armenia on Monday morning that the armed forces of Azerbaijan again fired at Armenian regions in the early hours today. According to him, Azeris fired at villages in Tavush region, but it was not as active as in recent days.
Earlier Azerbaijani troops fired at the border villages of Baghanis, Koti, Chilari, Vasashen and Voskepat-Baghanis Road. Armenian troops have been instructed to refrain from firing in the direction of Azerbaijani residential areas and to shoot at enemy’s firing points only. --0-
