After a one-two finish in the LMP3 Championship in 2022, CD Sport will return with a single Ligier JS P320.
Sporting the hard-earned number #1 on a brand new Ligier JSP320, the three drivers are CD Sport regular bronze pilots Michael Jensen & Nick Adcock with a new member of the squad in the form of silver rankedDanish talent Valdemar Eriksen.
The team used the automatic invitation to the Le Mans 24 Hours last year to make their debut in LMP2 with a Ligier JS P217 and will be looking to repeat their achievement to try to secure an entry for th centenary edition of the Great Race.
Jean Noel Le Gall, CD sport Director
“It was inconceivable to me that we wouldn’t be back to defend our championship win in 2023.
“This will be our third consecutive Asian Le Mans programme, so while we know the competition will be strong we feel that we are in very good shape to be extremely competitive indeed.
“Both bronze drivers are well known to us and have strong pace, while Valdemar is new to the team we enjoyed a good test with him recently and his pace, attitude and maturity impressed us all.”
Michael Jensen
I have enjoyed a very strong season in both Asian Le Mans, where we were runners up to the sister car and ranked fourth in the European Le Mans series, my pace continues to improve and knowing both the team & tracks so well, I have big expectations.”
Nick Adcock
“In 2018 I raced in Asian Le Mans as a “one off” experience and here I am now embarking on my fourth Asian championship. The series is so enjoyable, it is pleasure to be driving with my good friend Michael and with CD Sport with whom we have enjoyed some great races. Valdemar is going to be super quick and I’m very motivated for success.”
Valdemar Eriksen
“I recently tested the CD Sport Ligier JSP320 and was really impressed with both the set up of the car & the professionalism of the team. This campaign is the fulfilment of a big ambition of mine and I am really excited to be part of this team and to prove myself in such a competitive championship.”
