Gogglebox fans left fuming as show is axed in schedule shake up
GOGGLEBOX fans are not happy after tonight’s instalment of the popular show was axed from the schedule.
In a big shake up, C4 bosses switched Friday night’s episode of Gogglebox to Saturday night instead.
It was replaced by Friday Night Live hosted by Ben Elton[/caption]But viewers who had not got the memo were left fuming after tuning in to find Friday Night Live on their screens instead of their favourite armchair telly critics.
Hosted by Ben Elton, the one-off rival of the stand-up and entertainment show was being aired to celebrate C4’s 40th anniversary.
Taking to Twitter, one Gogglebox fan moaned: “I’ve been looking forward to #Gogglebox all day.”
Another chimed in: “Hopefully the person who decided to change #gogglebox to Saturday has picked up their #p45 today.”

A third even tweeted: “Not happy about #Gogglebox being moved to Saturday night this week. Why couldn’t they move Ben Elton’s show to later on in the evening? (like at a time I’ll be in bed).”
C4 announcers had told viewers at the end of last Friday’s Gogglebox that this week’s show would be moving to Saturday night.
Some fans have welcomed the schedule shake-up, because they are enjoying the Friday Night Live revival in its place.
The show featured co-horts from the original series including Harry Enfield, Julian Clary and Jo Brand.
Comedy performers Rosie Jones, Mawaan Rizwan, Jordan Gray, Ronni Ancona and Sam Campbell also appeared on stage.
