Heist is everyone’s favourite tights brand, and the British business is now revolutionising shapewear, making it by women, for women, and applying fabrics used in clothing designed for Olympic athletes.
These shaping cycling short-style pants have “expertly positioned HeroPanels
” which are ultimately there to lift and sculpt your butt, giving you a contoured silhouette that pulls you in at all the right places. In short, we had extremely high expectations.
As a size 12, we opted for medium and it felt tight at first, but when we hiked it up to just below our rib cage, we realised that it just sucks you in perfectly.
The main highlight is, without a doubt, what it does to your butt as it gives you a rounding, lifting effect that made us look like we had been squatting 24/7.
Plus, the shorts are so seamless that we even wore them underneath leggings to try out for comfort, so they’re definitely skin-tight enough to wear underneath a body-con dress.
In terms of the fabric, we were nothing short of obsessed. It’s smoother-than-smooth, softer-than-soft and tight enough to give impact yet breathable enough for comfortable all-day wear.
We wouldn’t go as far to say as it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing any shapewear but they’re definitely snug and easy breezy to have on for a long time.

It’s a little pricey at £132, but this works for all all-over body sculpt, from your thighs to your waist, hips and bust, lifting your cleavage with padded cups and leaving an open back.
If you have a smaller bust then you might want to size down for this one as we tried a medium (we’re size 12-14) and it definitely could have been tighter around the back, although it still gave us a sculpting fit.
It clings to your whole body in the best way, cut from an ultra-soft stretch fabric, with a U shaped support in-between the cups that holds them well in place.
Like all Spanx products, the quality can’t be faulted and the removable straps are adjustable so you can decide how much lift you really want for your cleavage.
Definitely invest in this if you love a back-less dress or deep neck-line as it’ll never fail to give you a flattering silhouette.

“Controlling Camisoles- perfect to help control your tummy. Controlling Tights/Shorts- can be worn under dresses and skirts to shape your bum and thighs Corsets- An on-trend garment used to make your waist appear smaller while shaping your tummy,” she explained. “Body shapers – A full-coverage shaper that shapes your torso and your breasts. Control pants- A great option for cinching your tummy and streamlining your waist. Half slips – Perfect if you want to wear a mini dress or skirt and shapes your waist, tummy, and thighs. Dress slips- Like a half slip, a dress slip is great to wear underneath a mini dress that provides full support from the bust to the hips, adding an added layer of support.”

Rich says that the best way to stop shapewear from rolling down is to shop the correct size. Pretty straightforward.
Can you wear shapewear everyday?
“There is no hard rules when it comes to wearing shapewear everyday, but there are some things you should be aware of,” said Rich. “There are different types of control levels when it comes to shapewear, but light wear control is recommended if you want to wear shapewear for everyday use as it is much more stretchy and flexible. Firm-control, on the other hand, is often more rigid and is best to wear for special occasions, as it offers a lot of sculpting, but not much comfort for everyday. Extra tip: For the best breast support, it is best to wear underwire bikini tops and bikinis with a push-up quality, which can help make exercise, such as swimming, more comfortable.
