Black Ops Cold War Adds One Of Modern Warfare's Best Gunsmith Features
The latest Black Ops Cold War update brings Modern Warfare’s best gunsmith features to the game with the ability to build custom blueprints.
Treyarch continues to surprise Black Ops Cold War players with consistent updates and new features. A little over a week ago, Warzone's Season Two Reloaded brought new maps, modes, and guns to the game, along with Zombie content. What the game was lacking, however, was a few essential components that make its predecessor, Modern Warfare, so good. The recent update works to fix that by adding a popular mechanic to Black Ops Cold War that will let players get creative with their guns.
Around this time last year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received the Gunsmith customs feature, which allowed players to combine blueprint attachments and combine them together to create truly customizable firepower. Players have been known to get extremely creative with the mechanic, mixing and matching blueprint weapon attachments to form insane weapons. One player used the feature to remake Star Wars blasters in Modern Warfare. Now, Black Ops Cold War players are getting a piece of the action, with its own version of Gunsmith Customs.
According to the Call of Duty blog, Gunsmith Customs has officially arrived in Black Ops Cold War, letting players combine weapon attachments from Weapon Blueprints of the same weapon type and create their own Blueprints. Once players create their custom Blueprints, they can name and save their creations via Custom Mods. Players can also bring the Blueprint into Multiplayer and Zombies matches.
One of the most notable aspects of Gunsmith Customs is that it delivers more freedom and weapon variety to players. While Black Ops Cold War is already a best-selling game, there are features missing that players want to be added or at least have added to the next Call of Duty installment. Gunsmith Customs was one such missing feature in Black Ops Cold War from Modern Warfare, and players should be excited that it has finally arrived. The update also adds a final new Operator of Season Two, Karla Rivas.
The weapons of Black Ops Cold War will definitely benefit from the Gunsmith Customs option. Players can add their favorite optic, muzzle, barrel, under barrel, body, magazine, handle, and stock attachments to build insane weapons. The creativity might bring to light powerful combinations that alter the meta, which is something players should watch out for if they want to succeed in Season Two and beyond. Constantly toying with Gunsmith Customs will be key to both fun and effectiveness - especially in Black Ops Cold War’s new map.
