FormerReal Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump recently took to Twitter to deny claims she is now broke after closing her restaurants.
Former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and current leader of Bravo's Vanderpump Rules Lisa Vanderpump wants it to be clear that she is not broke. While things have been difficult due to the coronavirus pandemic, Vanderpump is doing just fine financially.
Vanderpump owns many restaurants in the Los Angeles area. Plus, she also owns Vanderpump Cocktail Garden in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace. Since the COVID-19 quarantine made many businesses shut down across the country, it is no wonder people are curious about whether or not Vanderpump went broke from the financial strain. Now, she is setting the record straight that she is doing just fine.
According to Reality Blurb, the restaurant owner took to Twitter to deny claims she had gone broke. One fan tweeted at her on September 16, “So [Lisa Vanderpump] is broke, bankrupt, done, right? Villa Blanca [is] closed for good and the rest of the restaurants should be next." Vanderpump was quick to respond to the fan's suspicions, revealing she is not broke. However, she admitted that it has been challenging to close her Los Angeles restaurants amid the COVID-19 pandemic. “No darling not broke, of course it’s been difficult, but we will open when we feel it’s safe,” she confirmed in the tweet. “[Villa Blanca] was at the end of a long lease that was up, my staff need to be safe …us too.” It seems as though Vanderpump was just following state rules and staying closed until the stay-at-home order was lifted in California. Of course, she is going to struggle a little bit, just as everyone is during this time, especially restaurant owners.
Vanderpump later responded to another tweet in regards to Vanderpump Rules stars Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute's firings. The tweet read, “I don’t care for Lisa Vanderpump after she didn’t agree with Bravo for firing Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute for [their] racist action toward Faith Stowers. (Just saying).” Vanderpump responded by saying, "I said actions have consequences but I believe there is room for everybody to grow and learn." Vanderpump clearly felt that people can learn from their mistakes and should be given a second chance to grow.
During the pandemic, Lisa Vanderpump has been through many ups and downs: Many of her restaurants were temporarily out of business, Villa Blanca closed down for good, people think she is broke, and she had to see Stassi and Kristen leave VPR. While there is no doubt Vanderpump is doing just fine financially, her restaurants and her shows have taken quite the hit this year.
