PEP GUARDIOLA took a sarcastic dig at VAR as his Manchester City team were on the wrong end of technology yet again.
The City boss was fuming when ref Andre Marriner refused to award a 60th-minute penalty as David Silva was brought down by Bournemouth’s Jefferson Lerma.

It was too much for Guardiola, after having goals disallowed in games against West Ham and Spurs.
He snapped: “Was it a penalty? No, no, no. Just like last week’s clear handball. Penalty? Of course not.”
At least he was happy with the victory and said: “The challenge for us this season after back-to-back titles will be amazing.
“There were a few things to improve today but the quality of our players up front made the difference.”
But Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe reckons City’s Kyle Walker should have been sent off for two early fouls on Nathan Ake.
He said: “The two challenges by Walker were both yellow cards.

There was further bad news for Howe when wing-back Charlie Daniels was carried off with damage to his right knee. Howe added: “It’s potentially serious.”
