Callaway: Marcus Stroman “Likely” To Make Next Start
Mets’ manager Mickey Callaway, prior to Sunday’s series finale with the Braves, said right-hander Marcus Stroman will likely make his scheduled start on Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs.
Stroman, 28, excited his last start due to left hamstring tightness, but said a couple days ago on Twitter that he would make his next start.
The Long Island native came over to the Mets prior to the trade deadline, and has started four games for New York.
In those four starts, he has registered a 4.58 ERA with 18 strikeouts in 19.2 innings pitched.
