Cavaliers solid home betting favorites for Game 6 vs. Celtics
The Boston Celtics can advance to the NBA Finals with a road win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday, but the sportsbooks have them set as clear underdogs.
The Boston Celtics are just 1-9 straight up and 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 games played on the road. The Celtics will try to snap an 0-3 SU and ATS slump on the road and punch their ticket into the Finals with a win on Friday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Boston is a 7-point road underdog in Cleveland in Game 6 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Cavaliers closed as a 6.5-point favorite in Game 3 of this series and a 7-point favorite in Game 4 and won and covered in both of those games.

Boston Celtics
In 10 home games this postseason, the Celtics are averaging 108.7 points per game on offense and allowing only 97.2, going a perfect 10-0 SU and ATS over those 10 games. In seven road games this postseason, the Celtics have scored 94.4 points per game while allowing 106.4, going 1-6 SU and 2-5 ATS in those seven games.
The splits have been even more dramatic in this series with the Celtics holding Cleveland to just 86.7 points per game in Boston and then allowing 113.5 points per game in Cleveland.
Adding to Boston’s road woes, the Celtics are just 1-7 SU in their last eight road games against the Cavaliers per the OddsShark NBA Database.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Since 2012, LeBron James has faced elimination in a playoff series 13 times. James has led his team to a 10-3 record in those 13 games and averaged 35.9 points, 11.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game in them.
There is little doubt that Boston will be getting James’ best shot on Friday night with the Eastern Conference Finals on the line. Cleveland has won seven straight games at home and is 3-0 ATS over its last three home wins.
Friday night’s total is set at 201.5 points. The UNDER is 4-1 through the first five games of this series.
Given how Boston has played on the road this postseason and the fact that the Cavaliers are playing for their playoff lives, Cleveland has a good chance to push this series to seven games. But if Boston can find a way to hit its shots and execute like it has at home this postseason, the Celtics could keep this one close and perhaps even pull off the upset.
