Prosecutor says Ohio man admitted killing 2 women
ASHLAND, Ohio (AP) — A prosecutor says an Ohio man on trial for killing two women confessed to the crimes and told another woman she was going to die before she got free and called 911.
The prosecutor in Ashland County plans to show videotaped interviews between 41-year-old Shawn Grate and police where he admits to the killings.
The prosecutor also says Grate videotaped himself raping one of the women found dead and the woman rescued by police in 2016.
Grate's attorney declined to make an opening statement as testimony began Monday.
Grate has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder and could be sentenced to death if convicted.
